5 Morning Skincare Tips

Good Morning….

Possibly the most over rated statement as you are trying to crawl out of bed, especially in winter and into morning madness all around you.

But it need not be.

Here are some simple beauty tips and skin care tricks to help you get out the door looking like you spent hours in front of the mirror and leaving you feeling as fresh as a daisy. Perhaps it’s a good morning after all.

1. Exercise

Exercise isn't just for your muscles, "Exercise lowers stress hormones, the physiological stress indicators that cause damage to all of your body -- including your skin," Cardiovascular exercise works best for keeping stress hormones at bay, stimulating blood flow and opening the mind. Walk, bike, swim, or try something new like martial arts for 30 to 45 minutes per day.

2. Exfoliate

Give your skin a wake-up call in the shower. "Exfoliating your body speeds up skin cell turnover, getting rid of damaged superficial skin and letting fresher skin shine through," and if you combo it while you are int he shower, it saves time (and precious morning energy).

3. Drink Water

You're already hydrating your skin from the outside, but you need to quench your skin's thirst from the inside too. "When you're dehydrated, your skin begins to look dull and dry”. So it's important to hydrate the skin from the inside by drinking plenty of water – have that glass by your bed, in the bathroom and skull it back beautiful.

4. Hydrate your skin

Leave the heavy face creams for nighttime. Instead, go for a light moisturiser; lightweight products don't leave your skin feeling greasy during the day and is the perfect base before you put your makeup on.... always apply moisturiser before you put makeup on in the morning. 

5. Keep your moisturiser/skincare products in the fridge (or somewhere cold)

This may seem like a strange, one, but if you keep our products nice and cold it helps with reducing the puffiness you have when you are tired. Try it sometime
